Through a decade of work in the many musical worlds that harmoniously coexist in New York, 29 year old, Grammy-nominated Oran Etkin has cultivated a singular voice that brings together elements of modern jazz with traditional African and Israeli music. In Kelenia, (the Banbara word for love between people who are different from each other) Etkin is joined by Malian musicians Ball Kouyate on balafon and Makane Kouyate on calabash and vocals.
